Lung Disease
Lung disease is the #3 killer in America, responsible for one in seven deaths. Lung disease and other breathing problems are the number one killer of babies younger than one year old. Today, more than 30 million Americans are living with chronic lung disease such as asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
Lung disease can be caused or aggravated by air pollution, both indoors and out.
The treatment of chronic lung disease (eg Emphysema, Chronic Bronchitis and Pulmonary Fibrosis) is frequently complicated, confusing and frustrating for both patients and those who care for them.

Kidney & Bladder Problems
Healthy kidneys clean the blood by filtering excess fluid and waste materials from the blood. They also produce hormones that keep your bones strong and help build red blood cells and regulate blood pressure. When both of your kidneys fail, your body holds fluid. Your blood pressure rises. Harmful wastes build up in your body. Your body does not make enough red blood cells. When this happens, you need treatment to replace the work of your failed kidneys.
Kidney and urologic diseases affect more than 13 million people, or about 5% of the U.S. population, and claim about 260,000 lives annually. The most serious and debilitating of these diseases include ESRD, urinary stone disease, urinary incontinence benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), interstitial cystitis, urinary tract infection, and polycystic kidney disease. In addition, other diseases have a tremendous impact on kidney and urologic diseases. For instance, diabetes can, over time, damage many parts of the body including the kidneys.
