Small Business Health Insurance Partnership 

The Working Families & Small Business Health Coverage Act, approved during the Special Session of 2007 establishes the Health Insurance Partnership (HIP) for small employers not currently offering health insurance to their employees.   Limited funds are available as early as October 1st, 2008.

Small businesses in Maryland may be eligible to receive a subsidy under the partnership, that helps provide health coverage services and provides incentives to participating individuals for efforts to improve their health and/or manage chronic disease.
